The same trader-evaluation scorecard from our Bybit copy trading guide, applied to OKX's version of the product.
Draft status: needs a compliance pass and real product screenshots before it goes live — see the checklist below.
How to Evaluate a Trader Before You Copy Them covers the scorecard that actually matters — track record length, maximum drawdown, position sizing consistency, and win rate versus risk/reward — before you copy anyone, on any platform. That doesn’t change here.
Where OKX’s copy trading differs
- Unified account integration. Because OKX often runs spot, margin, futures, and copy trading through a shared unified account, your copy-trading allocation can interact with the same margin pool as your other positions — worth understanding clearly before allocating, since it’s a different structure from a fully separate copy-trading wallet.
- Strategy variety. OKX surfaces both individual trader-following and, depending on region and product availability, algorithmic strategy copying — read the description of exactly what you’re copying (a person’s discretionary trades vs. an automated strategy) before allocating, since the evaluation criteria differ slightly between the two.
Walkthrough: setting up copy trading on OKX
- Open the copy trading section and browse available traders or strategies.
- Open the full profile of any trader you’re considering — apply the scorecard from the core guide rather than sorting by headline ROI alone.
- Set your allocation, independent of how much the trader themselves has at risk, and never more than you’d accept losing entirely.
- Set a stop-copy threshold if the platform allows one, so a bad stretch doesn’t run unmonitored.
- Review regularly — the same discipline described in the core guide applies regardless of platform.
Risk
Copying a trader does not transfer their skill to you — it transfers their risk to your account, on any platform. Past performance is not a guarantee of future results. Nothing on this page is financial advice, and no copy-trading platform should be described as a guaranteed source of returns.
Editorial checklist before publish: verify current OKX copy trading UI against this flow · compliance sign-off, specifically on “no guaranteed returns” language.
